No More Food Recall Worries - All Natural Life's Abundance Premium Health Food

These two dry foods can and should be fed through out  the life of your kitten and cat.  Keeping your adult cat on the kitten food also insures the cat is getting proper nutrition even in his adult life.

Maxximum Nutrition
Kitten Food:
(Available at Walmart in a 4 lb
 bag only)
Diamond Professional
Adult
  (Available at Petco, Petsmart,
or Mounds Petmarket)

Feeding any one premium dry  food  is not adequate for your cat. Feeding several premium foods is the best way to assure the health of your cat and kitten.  What one food is lacking the other may make up for.  Regulations for cat and dog foods are not strict enough.  Product readouts only have to be accurate 6 mo. out of the year. Any other time they can substitute anything they want and it will never appear on the label.  It is scary.  So please feed as I instruct you and your kitten will live a long healthy life.

A few of our cats are hooked on Eukaneuba chick/rice adult food.  (Available at Petmart also.) But   you may ask me first if you should buy this costly food.

HAIR BALLS
We have found the cats and kittens love this food.
It is not to be used alone but in a separate bowl along side their regular food .

By using this food it  tends to  speed up the passage of hair through the stomach and intestines. Most of our high protein premium food don't seem to have enough bulk to them.  So a cat will tend to have a dry , hard stool. This is not healthy.  A cat with a hard dry stool needs more Fiber in his diet.  Indoor Cat will provide this.

CANNED FOOD

.

Friskies
turkey/giblets;
  chicken/cheese shredded.

Available in Walmart, and most grocery stores)  Trying other flavors  of canned food, will only upset the bowel of your kitten .So stick with what he is used to.

TREATS

Most treats made for cats are a definate, NO, NO.
There are food dyes and preservatives that will certainly upset your kitten.  The best treats are bits of human foods such as : beef, chicken , fish(not tuna), wild game , cheeses , cream cheese also.  Any vegetable the cats may crave is okay too

WATER

City water should not be used.  If you live in the City, use bottled water, but not distilled.  Most well water that is safe for you , is safe for kittens.
It is not necessary but the auto water is great fun for the cats. It is a constant supply of running water. Available at cat supply dealers.

Grooming

Greyhound Style Comb - It comes in 2 sizes 4.5" and 7.5".  You will need both combs eventually.  The smaller one when you first get your kitten, then later on the larger comb.  Do not use a brush on your Ragdoll as it only flattens the coat and will not remove dead hairs.

Flea Comb - This is handy for removing debris from the britches and tail of your Ragdoll.

Toenail Clippers - Human toe nail clippers are much more handy than those made for your pets.  These are available at Walmart or any department stores.

  Flea &  Mite Control -

Your kitten will be free of these two pest when you pick him up, but some parts of the country have more serious flea problems than we in the colder climates.

If you have dogs , you may at some time need flea preparations.

Caution:  Do not use flea shampoos or sprays on your kitten or cat. You may end up
 killing him.

REVOLUTION for cats is the safest but do not use the recommended dose.  Cut it to 1/3  or 1/4 . And do not use it regularly.  Since it lasts for 30 days, you will have your fleas under control in that amount of time.

If you have dogs, use it regularly on the dogs so they don't bring in fleas, but  proceed with caution when using it on the cats.
Do not under any circumstances use Frontline .  It is very toxic to the cats and
 may cause death.

If you need advice contact me by email and I will try to advise you.

LITTER
I prefer Fresh Step Clay litter. It lasts the longest  of any of the Clay litters.
No clumping litters , please.  The clumping litter if ingested will not move on out of the body.  It adheres to the intestine and may cause a total blockage that will certainly kill your cat.  Often a cat will go into a litter box, get litter  and dirt on his feet, try to lick it off and eat it.  Clay will pass thru.  Clumping will not.

Scratch Pads
Kittens and cats will enjoy the luxury of this little scratching box.  Place it anywhere that you don't have cat furniture.  Bedrooms, bathrooms, and places that kitty spends time.
*Available at Walmart and other pet supply stores.

CAT FURNITURE
A must for a happy kittens, cats , and us.

Our kittens use this furniture for sleeping, playing,  and mostly scratching  on.  They already are trained that this is where the fun and scratching should mainly be done.  If you do not have the proper cat furniture for your kitten when he comes home, he will feel insecure , and be looking for a substitute  for playing and scratching.  They also need a place to climb up and down.  Many cat owners don't realize that cats like to be up in high places.  If you provide your kitten with this , it is easier to train them to stay off your kitchen tables and counters.  It is a natural instinct for the cats to find the highest spot possible to look down on everything.  Make it fun and easy for them.  Cattery World  offers the best in Cat Furniture that we use  here.  Mark has a variety of fun  accommodations  for the new kitten.  You don't have to purchase from Cattery World , but if you do , they can make the furniture of your choice in a variety of colors and will be here when your kitten is ready to pick up.  They also can UPS unassembled  furniture if you are not picking up and still want the sturdy quality that Mark can offer you.
